I had to install .net 3.5 manually to get VS2008 to go. Did you try downloading and installing .net 2.0 SP1 seperately and installing it outside of the VS2008 installer? I would try that if you haven't. Then install 3.5 manually from outside the VS installer. If you can get 3.5 installed, then try the VS2008

I didn't uninstall works. I will give that a try. I never use it now that I have office. If that doesn't get rid of the DLL (I found it in system 32), I might try deleting it as I just installed Expression Web on my computer running Vista Home Premium, with Office Ultimate installed, and all updates current.
